Are there particular kinds of program expenses that you consider especially impactful? Or kinds you don’t fund/don’t consider impactful?

If our district applies as the primary applicant, can the funding actually go to our affiliated public education foundation (a 501c3) and let the receive and track the funds?

I work for an outside organization and have partnered with a counselor as my lead applicant - I want to do the bulk of the work in filling out the application, but noticed that to create a profile you need to be the lead applicant. Is there a way for me to fill out the application, but have my teacher partner ultimately be listed as the lead applicant? I know schools are overwhelmed right now and want to take as much of the load as possible.

Does the lead applicant need to be a FULL time district employee? We are are 501c3 that creates high impact programs for the public school & we have a direct collaboration with the district, but our employees only work part time actually IN the schools

Was an LOI due on 2/1?

Can the funds be used in part for the development of a new school that will be opening in 2023 with a strong SEL component?

Also can an alternative (public) HS that receives transfer students from multiple schools across the city apply for a district grant? (It’s not multiple schools but it has multiple feeder schools.)

If selected, a non-profit organization will be required to submit documentation of IRS tax exempt status along with a W-9 form and bank account information through a secure grant portal.

Are you looking for proposals that impact multiple target communities or one specific demographic?

If we’re applying as a district, do the funds need the share across multiple school sites, or can they focus on supporting an initiative for a single school site?

We are seeking funding to provide SEL professional development at the district level for our contracted OST providers at seven middle schools, to start. The cost would be stipends and books, and I fear that it would not be a good candidate for funding since our budget is really those two items. Advice?

@Judith - The implications of COVID-19 will likely be a little bit different for each proposal, depending on the students and/or staff served, the work proposed, as well as local, state and national guidelines. We recognize that COVID-19 has made it unclear how certain the work proposed will be and your proposal may change due to unforeseen circumstances. We will work with selected grantees to provide flexibility should circumstances change. You would want to email SELinAction@education-first.com and we will work with you.
